New! You can now pay your dues or make a donation to League using PayPal. Please note that donations to League are not tax deductible. If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)(3) Education Fund, please make the donation using PayPal and then send us an e-mail at lwv@lwvlasvegasvalley.org specifying that the donation should go to the Education Fund.
Your dues also pay for membership in the League of Women Voters of the US and the League of Women Voters of Nevada, our state organization. The portion that remains in Las Vegas after the National and State dues have been paid covers website and e-mail maintenance, insurance, postage, printing, telephone answering service and special events.

Membership in the League
As a member of the League of Women Voters of Las Vegas Valley, you are also a member of the League of Women Voters of Nevada and the League of Women Voters of the United States. You have access to the members-only site on the website of the LWVUS where you can sign up to receive the newsletter and e-mail alerts.
There are Leagues in all 50 states, and in addition to the hundreds of local Leagues nationwide, there are Leagues in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin islands and Hong Kong. In Nevada, in addition to the State League, there are four local Leagues: Las Vegas Valley, Mesquite, Northern Nevada and Pahrump.
As a local League member, you receive:
• our local newsletter, The Voter, by e-mail or by US mail if you do not have e-mail
• periodic e-mailed Information Alerts
• Legislative Alerts.
During the legislative session, you will be kept up to date on issues of interest to League members. You have the opportunity to join one of the League committees and to have your voice heard. You have the opportunity to attend League meetings, which are excellent opportunities for networking with other active citizens and elected officials.
Even if you do not have the time now to be active on a committee, our monthly programs, special events, local and national League newsletters and e-mailed Legislative and Information Alerts keep you informed about important issues affecting your community, your state and your country.
